Meet the Cleary Company Staff

 
 

 

George Cleary, CR: Owner

George has been in the remodeling business for over 25 years. He is the founder of The Cleary Company and attributes his success to his honesty and integrity. His ability to build such a wonderful team of friends is a tribute to who he is. George is active with the local NAHB, BIA, NARI Remodelers Coucil and Remodelers Advantage along with being in excellent standing with the BBB. He is the father of 3 wonderful kids and has been happily married for over 15 years. His hobbies are camping, fishing and spending time with his children. He is happy to be part of enhancing properties in the neighborhoods he has lived in for over 40 years. "The thing I love most is being part of the emotion of a remodeling project. To be able to perceive a customers vision and then to design, produce and deliver their dream is really a neat part of what we do. This coupled with working with great friends makes what I do so rewarding".

 

  

Matt Kowalski: Carpenter 

Matt is the newest member of our team and brings 16 years of carpentry and construction experience. Matt is a planner and looks forward to using his knowledge and skills to produce the unsurpassed quality and craftsmanship vital to The Cleary Company. Words that Matt lives by at work or at home – “ Plan your work and Work your plan.”

Matt stays busy in his spare time with a few rentals, 3 brothers, 2 children and a wonderful woman in his life. Matt enjoys most days by the pool and almost famous kickball games played often at the end of his court.

 

Eric Call Project Manager/Estimator

This 3rd generation carpenter has been in the remodeling\construction business for  22 years and his expertise shines thru.  For Eric , the remodeling business offers exciting challenges and the greatest rewards.  Eric draws from his experience to achieve perfection on every project. Living up to The Cleary Company  Standards. Eric has been married for 22 to years to his best friend and partner, Mary. They have a teenage son named Gage. In his free time, Eric enjoys fishing , being outdoors and working in his garage. 

 

Laura J Watson, ASID: Manager of the design\build department
Laura manages the interiors department and assists in sales and marketing. Laura is a Professional Member of The American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) where she serves as Vice President of the Columbus Community. She is also a member of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI), and the Building Industry Association (BIA). Laura's designs have won numerous awards and she has been in the remodeling and interiors business for 17 years. She can assist you through the entire remodeling project from the planning stage, through selections, to the finishing touches. Her philosophy is to make "your house your home". Laura is newly married to Rick and together they have 5 children. If Laura is not found at an Upper Arlington sporting event, she could be found gardening or entertaining friends and family.
Rob Lindeboom CLC: Quality Control Manager
Rob has been in the remodeling business for nearly 18 years. He has been with the Cleary Company since it's inception. Rob has one of the keenest eyes around and if he is part of the project, it is done right. Rob has the ability to see how things are done, how they should be done and get it done. Rob is the father of 5 great kids and he and his wife Michelle live in Upper Arlington. His hobbies are watching sports, especially Michigan State and coaching his youngest boys in sports. His favorite past time was golf prior to having 5 kids.

John Speese CLC: Lead Carpenter
John has been in the remodeling business for nearly 18 years. John has been with the Cleary Company for nearly 12 years. Johns great attitude and smile are contagious. His eagerness to please the customer is always present; “Well we need to make the customer happy” can often be heard. John is our company whistler. You know when he is around as he is always whistling. John and his wife Sara have 6 kids together and live in Delaware. His hobbies are golf and playing cards with his buddies.

John Connor CLC: Safety Coordinator/Lead Carpenter
"Well being in Columbus, Ohio one of us has to be a true Buckeye Nut". That would be JC. JC, has been part of the Cleary Company off and on for 12 years. He knows how precious a home is and treats your home as if it were his own. His commitment to the company makes him a vital part of The Cleary Team. If it needs done, JC will get it done, he does not know how to say no. JC and Mary have been happily married for 18 years and have 3 wonderful children. His hobbies are walking around the Horseshoe stadium game day morning and watching after his kids.

 Katie Filbrun: Operations Manager\Controller
Katie is the pleasant voice you often hear when you call our office. Katie makes sure the administrative side of our company runs as smoothly as the design and construction side. She handles the accounting\bookkeeping, web design & webmaster, along with our business's  operational and statistical tasks. She has over 20 years experience in the field prior to joining us in 2008. She has been married for 32 years and has 3 adult sons, 2 daughters in-law along with 3 granddaughters.
